The Mercedes - Benz E-Class is a premium car that competes with, among others, the BMW 5 Series and the Audi A6 . This makes the model one of Mercedes - Benz's most popular and best-selling cars of all time. The first generation debuted in 1993 when the then-model W124 was redesigned. The first generation was available in sedan, station wagon, coupe and later in production as a convertible. The second generation Mercedes - Benz E-Class debuted in 1995 and received some new modifications and a slightly more luxurious design compared to the previous generation. In 2003, it was time for another new generation of the Mercedes - Benz E-Class and one of the news was that the model could be obtained as a 4-door coupe. In 2009, it was time for a fourth generation of the Mercedes - Benz E-Class and this generation went through a major change in 2013 with new details on the front. This gave the model a more aggressive appearance and went from one headlight to two. In the latest generation, there are a few different equipment packages in addition to the basic version with Avantgarde, Exclusive and AMG Line. Another series from the same that is smaller in size is the compact premium car Mercedes - Benz C-Class which competes with, among others, the BMW 3 Series .
