This generation received an update for the 2013 model year, including the front and more efficient LED headlights. The most fuel-efficient choice for this generation of Superb is a 1.4-liter, 123-horsepower gasoline engine, an engine that works well with the car despite the fact that the Superb is a large sedan. The third generation was presented for the 2015 model year and had once again grown in exterior dimensions and was now nearly 4.9 meters long, but the interior dimensions also followed suit and became even more generous. This brand new car was a great recognition for Skoda among the journalistic community and the model won several awards, including the British "Top Gear" writing that the car was probably among the best in the class at a moderate price and giving it eight points out of ten possible. This generation no longer has V6 engines, but most engine choices, both gasoline and diesel, have a cylinder capacity of 2 liters or less, which provides better emission figures and fuel consumption. A design approach that became increasingly common among car manufacturers around 2010.
