The fifth generation Ford Mustang was presented in 2005 and became an immediate sales success for the brand. In the basic version, this model has a petrol-powered V6 engine with a four-liter cylinder capacity and 200 horsepower, connected to either a 5-speed automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual variant, of which the former is by far the most common. Interestingly, the model was low-priced in the USA. At one point, it cost no more than just under 20,000 dollars as new if no options were added (basic version). Two different V8 engines are available and they have a cylinder capacity of 4.6 and 5.4 liters with supercharging which is only available in special versions of the model. An update, including a new front, came for the 2010 model year. The sixth generation Mustang was launched for the 2015 model year and has similar exterior and interior dimensions as its predecessor. The big difference (apart from a completely new retro-inspired design) is that the rear leaf suspension has been replaced by modern suspension and in addition to six- and eight-cylinder engines, a smaller four-cylinder turbo variant was also added.
