Road trip? 15 tips around the west coast and southern Sweden

16 maj, 2022

From salty evening swims in Falkenberg to a small Italian restaurant you just can't miss if you swing by the summer town of Sölvesborg. Yes, when we lent Kajsa Svensson a car and at the same time challenged her to show off the very best that Sweden has to offer, we got tips called "duga".

Kajsa has spent weeks discovering the southern parts of our long country by car, and here are all her best tips collected in one guide. Take the opportunity to be inspired for all your summer road trips!

We challenged Kajsa to find some cool places to visit by car this summer.

Solvesborg

On the east coast, and more specifically in Blekinge, is the small town that Kajsa herself calls home. That's why you can trust that these tips are tried and tested and quality-assured to the max.

End the day with dinner at the city's Italian restaurant Med Påhlssons .

Varberg

Along the west coast you will find the small spa town which is also famous for its windsurfing. A particularly beloved part of the town during the summer months is the long, beautiful beach at Apelviken.

Falkenberg

If you continue south after Varberg, you will soon end up in cozy Falkenberg. Here too, there are stunningly beautiful beaches and a pizza place worth driving a long way for!

  • Cool off with an evening swim at Skrea Beach.

  • Dine on Neapolitan pizza at popular Little Naples.

  • Why not treat yourself to a night at Falkenberg Beach? With the chance to wake up next to the roaring ocean.

The pizzas at Lilla Napoli are famous far beyond the west coast.

"Always have swimwear and beach towels packed, there's nothing more wonderful than swimming from new piers"

Kajsa's 3 best tips for a road trip

  1. Be ready for a swim! Always have swimwear and beach towels packed, there's nothing more wonderful than swimming from new piers.

  2. Pack with a basket. Pack a picnic basket with your favorite tablecloth, your favorite coffee cups, and a thermos. That way, you can have a cozy dream coffee anywhere.

  3. Who should always be there? Sunglasses, camera and a bag of chips.

Smart ways to your perfect road trip car

Which car is best for your next driving holiday is of course entirely dependent on your own needs and wishes. Kajsa herself was particularly delighted with the panoramic roof that the car she borrowed from us had.

We recommend taking a look at our large selection through the shortcuts below, and using the filter function to customize the flow to your preferences.
