300,000 curious visitors. That's how many people look into our digital car showroom in an average week during the fall. But how do these speculators turn into buyers of your cars? Well, through hard work and smart marketing.
Kvdbil has been selling cars online since the early 2000s and we have learned a lot during these more than 20 years. Partly about the used market, partly about the importance of being at the forefront when it comes to digital marketing. And to be at the forefront, you have to have the courage to try new things.
We had a chat with an expert in the field, namely our colleague Christian Lindskog, who is Kvdbil 's Online & Digital Marketing Manager. We asked him a few questions about how we get the cars to reach the right person, in the right channel, at the right time.
Where are the cars sold through Kvdbil most visible?
Of course, Google is an important channel. When it's time to start looking for a new car, it's common to start "googleing". That's why it's important for us to be clearly visible when someone, for example, types in "Buy a used V70" on Google. In order for Kvdbil to be at the top of the results that appear, we buy ads on words that are relevant. We also actively work to create and update content on kvd.se to also be visible organically.
How would you explain the word "organic" to someone who is not familiar with the term?
Yes, appearing organically means that Kvdbil should appear as an alternative in the search results completely naturally, without us having purchased the space.
Besides Google, where else do we advertise?
In addition, we advertise on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. And we allow banners to appear on various sites that feel relevant, such as newspaper websites, for example.
In addition to advertising online, we at Kvdbil work to be constantly visible. We send out weekly newsletters, are active on LinkedIn , Instagram and Facebook , and are also featured in various sports broadcasts as a program sponsor.
