We value the car, wash and clean it, show it to potential buyers, handle the change of ownership and make sure the seller gets the money in their account.For the buyer, this means that you know the actual condition of the car through the test documentation and do not have to take into account unforeseen costs when purchasing. A car purchase from us is also covered by the Consumer Purchase Act, which means that you have the right to complain.

How do I know that no one is jacking up the price during the auction?

Accepted Answer

We have a department at Kvdbil that works to monitor the auctions and the bids that are placed. This is partly to protect you as a bidder, but also to help those who accidentally place unreasonable or incorrect bids. Illegal bidding is not common with us, but if it were to happen, the bidder will be blocked from being able to bid on kvdbil.se

How do you know what my car is worth?

We have extensive experience in car valuations through our sister company Bilpriser. The valuation is based on our own statistics and forecasts, as well as sales prices from kvdbil.se and other players. When you enter your registration number, we retrieve information about your car from the car registry and through our database we obtain the car's value.Our database consists of more than 15,000 car models and 200,000 versions of these. If the bidding did not come above the reserve price, can I still buy the car?

Accepted Answer

It depends on whether the seller chooses to sell their car below the reserve price, i.e. the minimum selling price that they decided in consultation with us at Kvdbil , prior to the sale. After the auction is over, we will first contact you, the highest bidder, and then the seller to ask if they would consider selling the car at the price you bid.

What happens when the auction is over?

When the auction is over, we will contact the winning bidder and schedule a time to pick up the car. When the buyer picks up the car, the change of ownership is made and the money for the sale is deposited into the seller's account.

What do I do if problems arise after purchase?

Then contact our complaints department. Complaints need to be submitted in writing and therefore it is easiest to email us at reklamation@kvdbil.se .Please remember to provide us with the registration number of your car, a description of how the fault manifests itself and whether you pointed this out when you picked up the car. Why has Kvdbil stopped the car?

When you hand in your car for sale, we register it with the Swedish Transport Agency. This way, we ensure that any vehicle tax already paid is refunded by the Swedish Transport Agency to you as the owner. When the car is sold, we also carry out the change of ownership and "register" the car again.

What is Kvdbil Certified?

All cars sold through Kvdbil have undergone our extensive and independent vehicle test. Kvdbil Certified collects cars that, according to the results of the test, meet specifically set requirements for condition and function. The cars meet the following criteria, among others; no complaints about the engine, gearbox and brakes, are a maximum of 8 years old and have a maximum of 12,000 kilometers on the odometer. Do I need a cash deposit for your car loan?

Yes, a 20 percent cash deposit is required to take out our car loan. Since we sell a lot of cars every year, we have already negotiated a favorable interest rate and also taken care of all the paperwork. Read more about car loans here.

How do I pay for the car?

Payment is made prior to pickup or home delivery of the car, via a payment link that you receive by contacting our customer center after reservation (applies to fixed price) or auction completion. How do I reschedule my pick-up/drop-off time?

You can easily change your time for delivery by logging in with your email address and password at kvdbil.se and then selecting "My sales". It is also possible to reschedule the time from the confirmation email you received when booking earlier, or please contact our customer center on 010-1673000, and we will help you reschedule the time!

Do I have a warranty on the car?

Buying used at Kvdbil is as safe as buying new. Not only do you know the actual condition of the car you are buying, you also have the right to complain according to the Consumer Purchase Act. We also offer braces and waist belts in the form of guarantees through Fragus.

How do I know that my bid has been placed?

Accepted Answer

When you are logged in and have placed a bid, you will see a green mark with "Your bid". The entire bid history is displayed openly in the car's ad and as a logged in user you can also see your own bid history.

When does a bidding end?

Accepted Answer

Each auction has a set date and time when it closes. The time is always shown in your local time zone. You can place bids up until that time. If a bid is placed just before the auction closes, it's extended by 3 minutes and 30 seconds. An auction can also close before the set time if the car is bought at a fixed price , which is available up until 48 hours before closing.

When do I have to pick up the car that I won at auction/bought at a fixed price?

When you have won a car at auction or bought it at a fixed price, you need to pick up the car within 3-5 working days, for transport between facilities and export it takes a few extra days. If the seller doesn't want to sell below the reserve price, do I still have to pay the brokerage fee?

If the bids at an auction do not exceed the reserve price, we at Kvdbil contact the seller and ask if he/she would consider selling below the reserve price. If the seller does not wish this, there will be no car purchase, even if you are the highest bidder, and you will not be charged anything. The brokerage fee is only paid in cases where there is a car deal.

All prices, fixed prices and all bidding are inclusive of VAT on kvdbil.se, but there are car auctions where VAT is deductible. You can filter which cars can be purchased with deductible VAT.

What does reservation price mean?

Accepted Answer

The reserve price is the lowest price the seller is asking for the car. The reserve price is hidden from bidders, but it is always possible to see whether the reserve price has been reached or not. What is the starting price?

Bidding starts at the car's starting price. Placing this bid means that bidding is underway, not that the reserve price has been reached.Once the bid for the starting price has been placed, you can choose to place 500 SEK more than the car's current highest bid or place a so-called maximum bid.

What is Kvdbil's brokerage fee?

When you buy on kvd.se, you pay, in addition to the agreed price for the car, a brokerage fee. The brokerage fee for each car depends on the value of the car and is stated in the car's presentation/advertisement on kvd.se.

What is a maximum bid?

Accepted Answer

Max bid means that you enter the maximum price you are willing to pay for the car and have your bid automatically increased by 500 kronor at a time, if another bidder chooses to place a higher bid than your last bid. However, the automatic bidding never goes above your max bid. You can adjust (both lower and raise) your max bid by entering any amount in the bid box.

What does autobid mean?

If you have placed a maximum bid, the automatic bidding will appear as an "autobid". Maximum bid means that you enter the maximum price you are willing to pay for the car and have your bid automatically increased by 500 kronor at a time, if another bidder chooses to place a higher bid than your last bid.

What is Kvdbil's definition of an environmentally friendly car?

We have chosen to define an eco-car according to the three requirements below. At least one of the requirements must be met. If the car can be refueled with gas. If the car emits less than 70 g CO2/1km. If the car has a battery that can be charged with a cord that powers an electric motor to propel the vehicle. Do I have a right of withdrawal because I bought the car online?

When you buy a car and choose to have it delivered to your home, you have a right of withdrawal for 14 days against a return cost. If you pick up your car at one of our facilities after the auction has ended, there is no right of withdrawal on the purchase. However, regardless of whether you buy the car at auction or at a fixed price, you always have the right to complain if something turns out to be wrong after purchase. How does "Reserve the car" work?

When you buy a car at a fixed price, you start by "Reserving the car". You have then reserved a place to buy the car and have been given a so-called queue number . I want to report a fault, how do I do it?

If, after you have collected the car or had it delivered, you discover a fault with the car that was not described at the time of purchase, you can report the fault to us at Kvdbil . Contact us at kundcenter@kvdbil.se and you will receive a template to fill out which you send to the pre-filled recipient.You will automatically receive a confirmation when the email has been delivered to our complaints department, check your spam filter if it does not appear. What counts as a complaint?

For a defect to be considered a complaint, the defect must have existed on the car at the time of purchase or earlier. According to the Consumer Purchase Act, you as a consumer have the right to complain about a defect that existed on the car at the time of purchase or earlier, up to 3 years after the purchase.If there is a defect in the car that is not noted in the item description and cannot be considered normal wear and tear of a used car, there is reason to complain about the defect to Kvdbil . Why is the change of ownership for my car delayed?

If the car you bought has a lease agreement, it can take up to fourteen working days for the lease block to disappear from the car register. As soon as the leasing company has booked your payment, you will be registered as the owner, and the registration certificate will be sent to your registered address. And no problem. You have the purchase agreement as proof that the car is yours, and your insurance is valid as usual during this time.

What is the difference between an electric car, a plug-in hybrid and a mild hybrid?

An electric car is powered solely by electricity and is charged via the power grid, without a petrol engine. A plug-in hybrid, or plug-in hybrid, has both an electric motor and a petrol or diesel engine and can be driven for a short distance on electricity alone. When the battery is empty, the petrol engine automatically takes over, and the battery can be charged via the power grid. Don't you need to see my car before you suggest a minimum selling price?

Based on your registration number, we obtain enough information about your car that we can make an assessment of how much we can sell it for and what is a reasonable minimum selling price (reserve price). Our estimate is based on the car being in normal condition and is based only on the equipment you provided when registering.All cars sold through us are tested by professional technicians and once the test is completed we can give a more accurate estimate of the selling price - if the car is in worse condition than expected it will negatively affect the reservation price and if the car is in better condition than expected it will positively affect the reservation price.

How long does a sale take?

Generally speaking, it takes about three weeks from the time you submit an expression of interest until the car is sold, but this of course depends on how and when the car is submitted to us. Before advertising on kvd.se, the car has been washed, cleaned and tested by our team.

How far has my car come in the sales process?

By logging in with your email address and password, you can constantly follow your car through the sales process, from the moment you register your interest until the car is sold and you have the money in your account.

How long will it take before my car goes up for auction?

Accepted Answer

Your car is published as "Coming soon" on kvdbil.se as soon as the agreement is signed – that way you get interested buyers right away, before the listing is fully complete. Full details and photos are added as we test the vehicle. How quickly your car gets a date for the auction countdown depends on how many cars were dropped off the same day (if the queue is long, it may take a few days before we can test your particular car) and whether you've added upholstery cleaning or any other extra service. It usually takes around 7–10 days after the car arrives at our facility. You can always follow where your car is in the process by logging in to My Pages with your email address and password at kvdbil.se.

How often are the cars sold for above the reserve price or above your higher valuation?

How far above the reserve price sales usually end up varies between different car models and also over time. The auction element also means that the car is always sold at market price and 97% of all cars put up for auction are also sold through us.

I haven't been able to list all the equipment my car has for the digital valuation, so how can you know what the car is worth?

Based on the registration number, we obtain enough information about your car that we can make an initial estimate of the expected sales price.If you have equipment on the car that you did not specify when registering or that we cannot obtain through the Swedish Transport Agency and that increases the valuation, we will of course adjust this estimated auction price later.

How do I know where in the sales process my car is?

When you register an expression of interest, you will receive an email from us that we have received it. We will then keep in touch with you via email and text message, and you can always follow your car during the process by logging in with your email address and password at kvdbil.se. Question 63

Can I change the reservation price after I have registered the car for sale?

Accepted Answer

The reservation price is the minimum selling price you can imagine selling your car for and is decided in consultation with us at Kvdbil . You as a seller can change your reservation price up to six hours before the end of the auction, but only if the reservation price at the time of adjustment has not been reached in the auction and there is an agreement between us at Kvdbil and you as a seller about the new minimum selling price.
