The wrong color on the car can be fatal for those who want to sell, a new survey shows. Almost half of Swedes would forego a purchase because of the car's color. So which colors lower or increase the value of your car?
It's not just "wrong", or the lack of, equipment that can lower the value of your car. If you as a buyer want to be on the safe side of getting the car sold in the future, it's a good idea to also invest in a color that is sought after on the market.
According to a Sifo survey, a full 44 percent of Swedes believe that the wrong color of the car would make them back out of buying a car. It is mainly men who think that the color of the car is decisive, especially younger and middle-aged men in the upper income bracket. Older women, on the other hand, are less likely to let the color of the car determine their purchasing decision.
For some, the color of the paint is just a detail, but for many it is clearly a deal breaker. It can be worth considering when buying if you also want to make a good deal on the day the car is to be sold on. The tip is to buy a car with a classic paint color and try to avoid bright colors or other color schemes that happen to be in vogue at the moment.
