Electric cars don't have to be expensive. Today, everything from agile small cars to well-equipped family cars are available for under 300,000 kronor. Here we guide you in choosing used electric cars.
For electric cars, it is the depreciation that affects the economy the most. The running costs are relatively low. Charging is significantly cheaper than refueling and the need for service is limited. This means that electric cars are often cheaper to run per mile than the equivalent petrol or diesel car.
At the same time, that's not the whole picture. Insurance can be expensive, especially for larger and more powerful models. Here, the differences are large between different cars and between insurance companies.

This is where depreciation plays a key role. An older car has often already taken the biggest hit in value, which means that the continued depreciation is lower. At the same time, there is a greater risk that wearing parts will need to be replaced. A newer car is safer in the short term, but usually loses more in value. The choice is therefore about a classic trade-off between safety and cost over time.
