Best-selling cars in 2025

14 januari, 2026

Another year is behind us. And as is tradition, we look in the rearview mirror to compile the top lists of the best-selling car brands and models on kvdbil.se during the past year.

In total, around 24,000 cars found new owners through us in 2025, that's 2,000 cars a month! The top list is full of well-known brands that have topped the charts in various constellations for a long time.

Every fourth car sold was rechargeable

You could say that the used car market lags behind the new car market by a good three years, as that is how long many leasing periods last. And when the leased cars are returned, they officially become part of the used car market.

"Despite the fact that over ten new car brands have entered the Swedish market in recent years, the top list at Kvdbil continues to consist of well-known car brands. But at the model level, we saw a noticeably greater interest in electrified models during the year. By 2025, 25 percent of the cars sold via Kvdbil were rechargeable," says Karl Wahlin, market analyst at our sister company Bilpriser .
