Before we dive into 2023 (soon, we promise!) we'd like to take this opportunity to offer a little look back. Here we've compiled the most popular car brands and models with us at Kvdbil during the past year.
Volkswagen, or "People's Car" as it translates, has long been a popular car brand and has a long history behind it. From the beloved "Bull", a winning concept that still stands today, to today's Passat and Golf, Volkswagen is one of the top three car manufacturers in the world.
Volvo has been manufacturing cars since 1926 and is perhaps the company that most people outside the country think of, along with IKEA and H&M, when someone mentions Sweden. By manufacturing cars for the public with a focus on safety, Volvo has become a beloved part of the Swedish home, even though Volvo now has foreign owners.
BMW has been around since 1916 and over the years has produced a variety of vehicles in addition to cars and is today considered one of the leading manufacturers of premium cars in the world. Did you know that BMW is the parent company of a number of different brands, such as the exclusive Rolls-Royce and the popular MINI?
For many, Mercedes is synonymous with good German quality, exclusivity and a certain amount of status, which they have done since their inception in 1926. The Mercedes product line now includes almost the entire alphabet, including the A-, B- and C-classes, the slightly larger CLS and E-models and the SUVs GLC and GLS.
Audi was founded in 1909, was acquired by the Volkswagen Group in 1964 and began producing premium cars in the 1980s. Four-wheel drive cars under the name "Quattro" have become very popular and have also had great success in the rally world. Recently, there has been a lot of investment in so-called crossover SUVs, the Audi Q5 has become one of Europe's best-selling SUVs.
From looms to cars? The step may not feel entirely natural, but for Toyota it has worked out just fine! Toyota today produces everything from small cars, such as the Auris and Corolla, to premium cars under the Lexus name.
Interest in KIA has increased significantly in Sweden in recent years, making KIA one of Sweden's fastest growing car brands right now. The Korean brand attracts many buyers with its 7-year new car warranty, along with affordable and well-equipped cars. Many of KIA's models are also partially, or fully, electrified.
