Audi takes first place this year in our consumer survey of which car brand has the most satisfied owners. In the survey, over 1,000 car owners were asked to rate their car on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. A full 93 percent of Audi owners gave a rating between 8-10.
– We can only congratulate Audi. They have long had a strong position among Swedish car owners and this year's results show that trust is stronger than ever, says Daniel Odsberg, sales manager at Kvdbil .
But the margins were small. Second-place Mercedes had 92%satisfaction.
– Mercedes also has its best result ever. Several brands are making significant gains this year. It is possibly a sign that quality is improving overall as new electric car brands step in and push the positions of the classic manufacturers, even if we do not yet see them high up on the list.
In third place is Subaru at 90%, followed by Skoda (87%) and Hyundai (87%). In total, 81 percent of Swedish car owners say they are satisfied with their car.
– It is of course gratifying that so many car owners are still satisfied with their cars. It is a good mark for the industry, says Daniel Odsberg.
At the bottom are Citroën (54%), Opel (63%), Peugeot (65%), Dacia (65%) and Mazda (68%). At the same time, several brands stand out with 100 percent satisfied owners, including Porsche, Lexus, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Polestar and Lynk & Co. However, the number of respondents for these brands was less than ten people, which means that they are not included in the official top list.
Since 2017, we have had Swedish car owners rate their cars every two years.

Porsche, Lexus, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Polestar and Lynk & Co had 100%satisfied owners, but the number of respondents was too low (fewer than 10 people) to be included in the list.
The survey was conducted in Kantar Media's web panel (Sifopanelen) during the period 13-21 March 2025. A total of 1050 people aged 20–79 with access to a car were interviewed. The web panel is nationally representative and recruited based on random selection. There is no self-recruitment in Kantar Media's web panel (Sifopanelen).
